As senior program associate, Charlie Koo is responsible for the administrative oversight of more than 20 institutional partnership projects targeting developing countries throughout the world, including large-scale initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa and India.
Mr. Koo holds a B.A. in biology with a concentration in neurobiology and an M.S. in nutritional sciences from Cornell University, and an M.S. in foreign service from Georgetown University.
Born in Seoul, Korea, he lived for 15 years in Fairbanks, Alaska, and has traveled, studied, and worked in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. He speaks English, French, German, Italian, Korean, and Spanish, and is learning Japanese and Croatian.
