As Senior Program Associate, Manny Sanchez administers higher education partnerships under the Mexico Trainings, Internships, Exchanges, and Scholarships (TIES) initiative and provides support on evaluation and assessments.
Before joining HED in 2008, Mr. Sanchez taught English in Japan through the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET) and developed sustainable ecotourism projects as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras. Previously, he has worked at the Meridian International Center and Peace Corps Headquarters. He has seven years of professional experience in international development and education.
Mr. Sanchez earned his bachelor’s degree in international affairs, with a concentration in international politics from George Washington University. He is fluent in Spanish and speaks basic Japanese.
